Welcome and thank you for coming to VibrantGoalAchiever.com! Let me introduce myself. My name is Anna Liljekvist. Yes, I know, a Canadian friend once told me that he had never seen “a last name with that many consonants before”! I’m a Family Life Coach and I live in beautiful Gothenburg, Sweden, where I was born and raised.
I had a safe and warm upbringing. I got married at 32 years old and even though I had two wonderful children I wasn’t happy, well you could say I was depressed. I found myself feeling stuck, trapped, painted into a corner, a victim, let outer circumstances decide who I was going to be and let it dictate my life. I was miserable…
My health was taken a toll. I had high blood pressure, I felt sad, tired and I felt guilty for not having the energy to being able to be the mother that I wanted to my children. I became a different person all together. I was expecting a life that was not happy, and that is what I got.
In 2007, I was introduced to Hale Dwoskin’s Sedona Method and Bob Proctor. One of the first questions I got was “is what you spend your days doing, worth trading your life for?”
“Is what you spend your days doing, worth trading your life for?”
I suggest you ask yourself that question. I did! And let me tell you I had many excuses for why my life was the way it was. But I soon realized that I was the only person who could change my situation and that I had to take full responsibility for my results. It was a challenge to face myself and make the commitment to change. I knew I was unhappy but I didn’t know how to get to where I wanted to go.
I wasn’t living up to my full potential. You might be feeling that too. I just realized that I had to find a way out. I did things because other people expected me to, or I thought they expected me to. I had a job that I wasn’t happy with, I like it, but i knew something was missing, and I had the mindset that I was supposed to be happy because at least I had a job to go to. Think about that for a moment. How many people go to a job that they hate, and they think that they should be grateful for having a job. Bob Proctor has taught me a lot and he is a great mentor. He also told me that don’t ever ask if you are worthy of your goal or your job – always ask if the goal or job is worthy of you! I asked myself this question in several areas of my life and you could say I had an extreme total makeover. I got a divorce, I was actually laid off from my job, which was a good thing because then I decided to start my own business and follow my passion. I don’t want to scare you! Because even though it might seem like a failure for some, it is not. It is taking responsibility for my life and the situation I was in and making sure that I learn from it and grow as a person and follow my dream!
My friend had given me the movie “The Secret” and I was a bit skeptical at first, because this was all new to me and in my opinion at that point it was too focused on having things and money – I wanted inner peace - but the message intrigued me. I started to read more and it got clearer to me, that this was all about learning to focus on what one wants and go for it, I had seen this in sports before. We have so many excuses for why we can’t do things, and sadly we only set those boundaries ourselves. But the good thing is that we can also do something about it.
When I had started to study for many of the gurus within the personal development field, like Bob Proctor, Marry Morrissey, Wayne W Dyer, Hale Dwoskin, Bob Doyle, and many more, one question kept coming back to me and that was: how can I teach my children this! I wanted them to learn from the beginning. You know, I didn’t want them to having to go through something bad in order for them to start looking for personal development programs, like I had, to start growing and enjoying life regardless of what was going on around them. I wanted them to incorporate this in their lives as a natural thing. I wanted them to have a great self esteem and be happy about life and themselves. I wanted them to be able to live in the moment and be successful. And I wanted to learn how to deal with my inner peace and how to become a great mother. You know, how do I deal with anger, sibling rivalry, lack of time, being a single mother and having time for myself and being able to recharge my batteries, achieving my own life goals.
I was surprised how fast things started to change for me. It is important to talk to like minded people who can actually take you to where you want to go. You would not go to a sick doctor and ask if he could teach you how to stay healthy, right? I had my share of people telling me that I couldn’t start my own business being a single mother; I couldn’t do this or that. But I wasn’t paying attention to them. I was so focused and determined that I would live my passion and I have. I decided early to choose wisely who I wanted advice from and I started to trust my intuition and listen to my heart. And I really, really want you to too. We only have this life, this is not a practice run, and you might go through some terrible things but I am here to tell you that wherever you come from you do have the power to change your life if you are willing to step out of the comfort zone. And I can help you guide you if you like. Even if you are quite happy with your life, there is always something that could be improved that makes your life easier.
You know freedom is when you start owning who you truly are. We spend so much time living our lives through other people and we sometimes drop the things we really want with an excuse for why it is not possible. I want to share one thing that changed my life. The use of affirmations! They help me focus on what it is I really want and let those negative thoughts take a backseat. You know I could sometimes feel that I just wanted to run away from everything, but of course I couldn’t do that. The situations that I was in, could be so stressful. I read Dr Joseph Murphy’s book The Power of Your Subconcious Mind and I started to listen to what I was telling myself. I started to listen to my own inner dialog. That was interesting! You know I didn’t have a lot of nice this to say about myself or my situation. But gradually I started to change that. I wrote down affirmations that I repeated to myself. Actually let me share some of the affirmations with you that help me stay calm. I can tell you that I never cease to be amazed by what happens when one uses affirmations correctly but I am never surprised. Because that power is always on and we need to make sure we are using positive communication. (I used affirmations in the beginning mainly to keep balanced and peaceful inside, but you can apply this technique on anything you like, whether it is confidence in a certain situation, finacial aspects, or something else).
Anyway, here they are:
I go through my day with inner peace and dignity.
I am calm and I always keep my temper.
I choose to see the positive in everything.
I love my children.
I have all the time in the world and I easily finish all I want to do.
I get all the help I need.
I welcome what is coming and it is all good.
I am happy.
I am healthy and strong.
If you are really serious about changing your results like I have then I invite you to model me and I invite you to start using positive communication, with yourself and your children and partner. When you start looking at what you are saying to yourself and others you will soon realize that there is always a polar opposite to everything. And when you choose the positive – you will see results. Start focusing on what you do want, what you really, really want and make a conscious commitment to stop focusing on what you don’t want.
I am constantly trying to expand my awareness and I would like to invite you to be part of this journey as we empowering the lives of families all around the world.
I am thankful for everything that I have been able to attract to my life and my family. And I just want to be able to give back on a much larger scale and help as many people as I can. I hope you will be the next success story!
I look forward to hearing from you!
Have a wonderful day!
